Our Career Diplomas normally require one year of course work. This Diploma is equivalent to one semester of the Undergraduate Diploma.
All students pursing the Career Diplomas at Colbourne are eligible to enter for the University of Cambridge International Examination for the Cambridge Diploma in Business (Advance Level).
Cambridge Awards are accepted as international qualifications recognised in over 150 countries worldwide by employers and universities alike including the University of the West Indies.

Admission Requirements for the Career Diploma
Students are admitted to the Diploma Program based on a number of factors.
1. REGULAR ADMISSIONS
For Regular Admission students are required to provide evidence of passes in a minimum of three Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) passes (at a minimum of level 3 or grade C), which should include English Language. Two Secondary School Certificate (SSC) pass at range 4 or 5 may be accepted along with the three CXC and GCE O’level passes.
2. PROVISIONAL ADMISSIONS
Provisional Admission is granted to high school seniors awaiting external results until the results of the examination are available. However, students must fulfill the requirements of the acceptance letter within 7 months of application, or the student will be required to withdraw.
Provisions are in place for Mature Age Students with less than the required passes. The mature entrance examination is developed for applicants over the age of 25 who have less than the three required subjects to enter the program. This examination is presented in three sections: English and Mathematics, General Paper and a pertinent case study.
Additionally, Interviews and recommendations from employers are assessed prior to the granting of admission. A maximum of nine credits will be allowed for the first semester. The student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00 to advance to the following semester.
General Education Requirements:
The Education requirements for the Diploma requires no less than 18 Semester Credits of Course Work, a minimum grade point average of 2.00 (C) and completion of all required Courses.
