Rules for the Fast Track Programme
PATH TO THE UNDERGRADUATE
DIPLOMA
1. How may a student qualify for the
Fast Track Programme?
Student who achieves 70% on the
Placement Test covering English Language,
Computation and General Knowledge.
- Students are allowed to resit only
once at a cost of JMD250.
- Students who have sat and failed the
Placement Test (and the resit) will be
accepted for the one year programme
(Standard Diploma) subjected to an
admission interview.
2. When does a student in the Fast
Track Programme sits the external
Examination:
CXC/GCE
Students entering in September sit
Examinations in January and May-June
Students entering for January sit
Examinations in May-June and Oct-Nov
3. When does a student in the Fast Track
Programme sits the external Examination:
Cambridge Diploma-Advance
Levels
Students entering in September sit
Examinations in May
Students entering in January sit
Examinations in October
4. When does a student in the Fast
Track Programme commences the
Undergraduate Diploma?
- September, January or May
