Course Index: FST1,2,3
Pre College has no formal CXC/GCE entry requirements. Applicants will sit the required placement exam and
are placed accordingly.
Pre College and Continuing Studies may be completed in 4 months, in one year or in two years.
4 Months Programme Course Index: FST1
Applicants should have at least completed a full 5 year Secondary School
Education and achieve at least two passes range 1,2,3/A,B,C in any subject
area in the CXC/GCE Examination. A minimum of 60% pass on the
individual assessment in our placement examination is also required.
Students pursuing the 4 months programme will take a maximum of three (3) CXC/GCE subjects alongside one
choice course (see options below) from the Certificate Courses.
One Year Programme Course Index: FST2
Applicants should have at least completed 4-5 years Secondary School Education and achieve a minimum of 5o%
on the individual assessment in our placement examination.
Students pursuing the 1 year programme will take a maximum of four (4) CXC/GCE subjects alongside two
choice courses (see options below) from the Certificate Courses.
Two Years Programme Course Index: FST3
Applicants should have at least a grade 9 Secondary School Education and achieve a minimum of 50% on the
individual assessment in our placement examination. If the applicant does not have a grade nine education but
passes the placement examination with at least a 50% score he/she will be accepted post an interview.
Students pursuing the 2 years programme will take a maximum of six (6) CXC/GCE subjects over the two years
alongside four choice courses (see options below) from the Certificate Courses.
Provisions are in place for Mature Age Students who have not met the above requirements. Mature
applicants for Pre College are applicants over the age of 25 with at least 4 years work experience, and have less
than the required subjects to enter the program.
