TRAVEL, TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
Course Index: AS01TT06
Equivalent to two years of the Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a Travel and
Tourism major.
Year one and two 65 Credits *
Introduction: This program normally requires two years of course work beyond the high school diploma. Following
are the Education requirements for the Associate Degree in Business Administration.
1. No less than 65 Semester Credits of Course work.
2. A minimum grade point average of 2.00 (C).
3. Completion of the General Core Component.
4. Up to one credit in physical education may be earned.
5. A cumulative grade point average of 2.25(C+) for courses in the major field.
The Objectives of the Associate Degree:
• To prepare the student with the essential prerequisite for further studies.
• To equip the students with the necessary training and information in preparation for jobs in Travel, Tourism and
Hospitality.
• To develop competencies which are standard requirements for the industry.
General Education Requirements for the Associate Degree

General Studies 24 CREDITS
1. Two courses in the social sciences:
(sociology, psychology, economics, political sciences, international relations).
2. One course in the humanities: (literature, art, philosophy, history).
3. Two courses in Mathematics (business mathematics and college algebra)
4. Two courses in English (literatures of English, English Composition, Advance
Writing, Technical Writing)
5. One course in Information Technology or equivalent proficiency.
6. One course in Religion.
