Earn when you Learn at Colbourne College
All students at Colbourne pursuing undergraduate Diplomas and Degrees will apply
to the student office of the College for placement in the H2B work visa programmes;
Please Note!
Colbourne College will now be participating in the H2B Visa Program
and not the J1 Visa Program. We will not be doing placements this year
due to lateness of the approval for the H2B visa and in identifying an
agent to manage the legal processes in the USA. This leaves us with very
little time to plan with the US employers we work with annually.
Here are the criteria that all students must meet to qualify for placement on the H2B program;
Cost of the H2B Program
USD $1, 200 including application (excluding embassy charges).
Duration in the USA: 4, 6 or 12 months periods at a time.
The H2B program allows participants to return to the USA annually, even after finishing school.
Students may commence studies for the HND Diploma/Bachelor Degree while they are working in the USA as online study is available hence
you can stay and work 6-12 months if the employer so desires, while not neglecting your studies.

- 1. Have completed at least 20 months of study leading to the UK HND.
2. Have a grade point average of minimum 2.0.
3. Have no outstanding courses as at the planned departure date for the
USA
4. Have completed at least 12 weeks of local work experience.
5. Have completed at least 72 hours of verifiable community service.
6. Have excellent behavioral and attendance recommendation from Colbourne.
7. Is an 'active' member of a Society.
