Admission Process

The Admission process at Colbourne College is fair and non-discriminatory.  

The Student Services Office (SSO) provides a comprehensive Admission and
Orientation programme for incoming freshmen.  

How to Enroll at Colbourne –

1. Application Process

1.1. Attend an open house session at a campus near you and purchase an
Application Handbook.  Handbook is $350 (Handbook can be mailed to you).

1.2. Pay the required application charge of $3,000.  At this point you will collect
the Application Package from the Student Services Office and sit the entrance
examination.
The package includes the Application Form and Enrolment Agreement, Application    
for Eligibility for Work and Travel-USA, Bank Slip for Fee for Placement Test  
($1500), and other College literature.

2. Take the Placement Test

All students entering Colbourne College are required to sit a basic entrance
proficiency test.  This is a computation test which includes English Language, and
Mathematics. Assessment is by multiple choice questions and an Essay.   The
Placement test helps us to place you in appropriate level programmes.  The cost
attached to the Placement Examination is a non-refundable administrative charge
of $1, 500.

Having completed the Placement Examination applicants are required to collect
their result within 2-5 working days by calling or visiting the Student Office.    
Applicants receiving a failing grade are allowed to resit the Placement
Examination at no additional cost.  

3. Registration

Registration is the next stage in the process.  To register for any course or
programme at Colbourne applicants must successfully pass the placement
examination with a Grade of D or higher.    Applicants will pay their compulsory
programme deposit of 10% of the Tuition cost and the required student fee at this
point.  These fees are non-refundable.  The Tuition deadline for the balance of
the payment is recorded on the Tuition Page of the student handbook along with
our refund policy.   

The Registration Package will contain your Acceptance Letter, a general
timetable, book loan application, boarding form, bank slip for the balance of
tuition, deferred agreement, orientation agenda, 2 recommendation slips and
medical form.   Student requesting tuition aid may purchase loan applications at
this point.

All the above documents must be returned along with;
- Tuition Payment (bank receipt)
-  Original Copy of Certificates and photocopies of each
-  A detailed resume (you may use our lab to print and copy the resume)
-  3 recent passport photograph

4. Orientation
This is a one day exercise between 10am and 8:30pm for all registered students.
