Application Procedures Program Basics There are two different options that you can choose for your Practical Training Program depending on your needs. If you would like to be in a training program, you need to make sure that a Trainee position is secured with a host company. You would also need to obtain sponsorship for your visa so that you can legally participate in the program, and you would need to have adequate medical insurance.
The Self-Placed Program The Self-Placed Program was developed for applicants that have already found a host company, and the Host Company has offered a Trainee position to the applicant. Now that you have a company, our partner, a U.S. Government approved sponsor is accredited to issue the DS-2019 (document needed for J-1 Visa application) for the job areas described above.
The Pre-Placed Program Trainee Positions in Host Companies will be selected for you. We will Place you.

Work and Travel Program We help you find work for 3 - 4 months and you can enjoy traveling in the US for an additional month.
The purpose of the Work Travel Program is to offer international students like you the opportunity to immerse themselves in U.S.A daily life through temporary employment opportunities during their summer holidays. This is accomplished by ongoing interaction with Americans at the host company, as well as other cross-cultural and social activities organized by your Area Representative.
Included for all Students – Placed and Self-Placed: • DS-2019 Form • Comprehensive health, accident and liability insurance • Job placement • Assistance with obtaining a Social Security Card • Local welcome and orientation • Local support in the U.S.A.
Not Included: • International and domestic airfares and other transportation (e.g. bus) to the company site • Daily living expenses including housing and meals (housing will cost a minimum of $350 per month.)
Internship and Trainee Programs We help you find positions for 12 - 18 months allowing you to earn an income while you train. .
The purpose of this program is to give our recent graduates or young professionals the opportunity to complete a practical training in an American company.
Benefits: Experience and Practical Training: Opportunities to legally gain training experience in the United States while training for a U.S. Company for up to 18 months with income.
Improve English Skills: A great opportunity to use and perfect your English skills while training for your new host company and living in the U.S. Remember, English is the language of international business
Practical Training: Earn practical training experience focused on your skills that will differentiate you when you return to your home country and seek employment.

Fulfill Degree Requirements: Many academic institutions around the world may give credit towards university degree requirements for practical training and internships.

Access to New Technologies: Experience new technologies in their U.S. launch phase, which can be sooner than when they are released in foreign countries. Fun: Travel the U.S. on the weekends and holidays.
Program Rules and Regulations (Work and Travel) 1. You are between the ages of 18 and 28 and registered and enrolled as a full-time student at a post- secondary level college or university. 2. You are in good health. 3. You will obtain a valid passport and visa and comply with all vaccination and immunization requirements. 4. You will obey all U.S.A. Federal, State and Local laws. 5. Any illegal use of drugs or alcohol, or abuse of harmful controlled substances or illegal possession of drugs, alcohol, or controlled substances will be subject to your immediate repatriation. 6. You will attend orientation sessions in your home country and in the U.S.A. 7. You will carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position, which are arranged. It is your responsibility to advise your sponsor of any significant problems.

If you have spent times in the U.S , submit copies of the visa you hold. This does not apply to those who hold visas as tourists.
Proof of two years experience or schooling;
- 3 copies of written recommendations in English from previous employers accumulating to at least two years of experience; or - 3 copies of your official college/university transcripts translated into English showing at least two years of course work.
The Application Process You will be interviewed in your country. When accepted you will be required to pay the registration fee before the placement process begins. Once a host company is chosen for you, you must sign the Training Plan Agreement, at which point you will pay the full program fee.
